The Scope of Our Dishwasher Work

A thorough site inspection of the supply, drain, and electrical clearance prior to taking out the old model.
We disconnect and remove the old dishwasher and professionally put in the new one.
Installation or replacement of the shutoff (isolation) stop and supply line. Some appliance installers will not touch a bad stop; we do not make that distinction.
Drain tie-in and repairs. If your dishwasher is not draining as it should, we can rework the drain or swap out old cast-iron tees for PVC.
Work on the garbage disposal and drain routing to ensure flow is up to code.
Remodel support: we will uninstall and move plumbing while walls are open, then reconnect once the new counters and cabinets are set.
Post-installation testing to verify there are no leaks and the unit is operating safely and efficiently.

Making the Call to a Plumber

It is not uncommon for an appliance installer to pass on replacing a faulty shutoff or making drain repairs. Riptide will not leave you to deal with those surprises. We make sure the shutoff is right, and the drain is in order so there are no problems down the road. On projects that also involve wiring or a range microwave, we will put in a word with some trusted pros to make certain everything is done in compliance with local requirements.

How We Go About It

First, we arrive and look at the access space and the condition of the existing connections and drain.
The old dishwasher comes out, and we examine the shutoff and drain tee for any corrosion or wear.
We put in a new supply line or stop if the situation calls for it, repair or reroute the drain (using PVC in place of old cast iron where we can), and hook up the dishwasher.
Then we run a test cycle to check for proper drainage and any signs of a leak. You will have a clear quote on the cost of the installation before we get to work.

Issues We Are Used to Fixing

Supply stops that are corroded or will not shut off. We replace them to allow for safe servicing in the future.
Poorly routed drains, particularly around old cast-iron branch fittings. We can cut those out and put in PVC.
Incomplete plumbing left behind by others. We give you a full solution so you are not calling in different contractors to put it right.

When You Are Remodeling or Replacing Cabinets

If the plan is to move the sink or the location of the dishwasher, we can shift the plumbing while the walls are open rather than having to do patchwork after the fact. We work with the cabinetry installers and other trades to make sure an undercounter or stainless steel unit fits properly, and the drain is routed correctly.

They showed up within the time they said they would, quickly figured out what was needed, then got to work right away. They did a great job replacing my water heater connections and a broken spigot. Everything worked without any issues and they checked inside my house to ensure nothing else was negatively affected. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
